How to share your Faith

Do you know Jesus? If you do, guess what...You’re a missionary.
Next to personally knowing Jesus and walking with him, one of the greatest joys of the Christian life is to help lead someone to Jesus Christ. The good news is that God wants to use you - not just pastors or people in career ministry but you as a believer in Jesus.

Jesus gave this very commission to us in Mark 16:15, where He says “Go into ALL the world and preach the good news to EVERYONE”. This awesome charge is known at The Great Commission. But the way some of us Christians follow this command, you would think they read it as The Great Suggestion. Sharing our faith, however, is something Jesus has told us, and commands us to do!

How do we do this? First Peter 3:15-16 tells us to be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks us about the hope that we have in Jesus. Here are four passages from God’s Word that will help YOU to share your faith.

1. You Don’t Need Any Training to Share. A changed heart is all you need to begin sharing your faith with others (See John 9:1-41)

2. Be Open to God’s Leading. Effectively Sharing your faith begins with a willing heart. (see Acts 8:4-8, 26-38)

3. Understand the Simplicity of the Gospel. The message of the gospel is clear, simple and powerful. (See 1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

4. Share your own story. Never underestimate the strength of your personal testimony and experience (see Acts 26:1-23)

We live in a country where we are allowed to do this....for now. Let’s start sharing our faith TODAY. In all the times I have shared my faith, I have NEVER had a threatening response here at home, and yet Christians all over the world are dying for their faith every day for speaking the name of Jesus.
